My name is Alexandra but I go by AJ. I used to be a choir director in public schools for 6 years, then branched into outdoor recreation education, and finally settled on teaching mushing lessons!
I love singing, having bonfires with friends, and calling family on the phone just to say hi.
I’m passionate about exercising dogs, camping, different languages, and music. I come from a very driven family, so they understand my commitment to mushing, and live going on sled rides. Can’t wait for this mushing season.

I became a musher in 2017 when I adopted a my dog Jack from Craigslist. He was very high energy and needed a sport. We started canicross and slowly began trying other dog powered sports. Thanks to mentors we learned and grew our kennel, and opened up a store dedicated to mushing. Now we help beginners acquire gear, lessons, and introduction to the mushing community.
