My name is Elena Freking and I am 12 years old. I started running my own dogsled team when I was 4 years old. I have a 10 year old sister, Nicole. I have run the Beargrease Cub Run, the Klondike Dog Derby, and the WolfTrack Classic. This is my first time running the Beargrease trail. Other than dogsledding, I enjoy reading, writing, and being outside. I am very excited to be running in the Beargrease 40!

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START RUNNING SLED DOGS AND HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU STARTED?
My family had sled dogs before I was born, and I started running my own team when I was 4 years old.
