Janet Bahe is a retired USPS Postal Clerk. She began running Inuit dogs with friends and then took them and herself through Mushing Boot Camp. She slowly added in Alaskan Huskies as her Inuits aged out of the team. She enjoys going to the races and has run the Beargrease 40 and 120, Gunflint Mail Run and the 100 mile Race to the Sky. Janet also enjoys handling races and traveled with Jamie Nelson to Kotzebue, Alaska to help her prepare for the 2006 Iditarod and handled for Peter McClelland and Shawn McCarty at the Hudson Bay Quest in Churchill Manitoba.

What inspired you to start running sled dogs and how old were you when you started?

I started running sled dogs at age 40. I enjoy winter and love dogs and wanted to combine the two.
