I grew up in a small yooper town. I had always had an interested in outdoor recreation. Whether that was stacking fire wood for the long UP winters or fishing the Michigamme lake. Growing up, I was always interested in mushing as me and my family spectated the UP200 race multiple times. When I was introduced to The Mushing Club at Michigan Tech and to Tom Bauer and his amazing dogs, I knew I was going to be a musher. I am so very honored to be able to race the Beargrease 120.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START RUNNING SLED DOGS AND HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU STARTED?

I was inspired to start running sled dogs when I was introduced to The Mushing Club at Michigan Tech. I found them my first year enrolled at Tech. I was 19 years old when I started mushing.
