I’m from a small town in southeast Saskatchewan. I started running sled dogs when I was twelve years old, and that passion has only grown with time. Beyond mushing, I play football on an all-girls high school team. I also spend a lot of time hunting with my dad and older sister. Most days, you’ll find us in the driveway with something we’ve brought home — either skinning a beaver, fleshing a moose hide, or skinning a roadkill animal. I also work at the local vet clinic, and it’s definitely an adventure every single day working there.

In 2020, I was 12, my family met Garrick Schmidt of Eagle Ridge Sled Dog Kennel at a presentation for Metis Nation Local 182. We went sledding on Little Kenosee Lake. He also had 2 puppies with him…Nippy and Kimi…In 2024 at the Canadian Challenge Kimi was my lead and Nippy ran team
What a sled dog looks forward to most after a long day of racing is a nice bed of straw! But guess what happened at last year’s race? Someone stole all our straw right before the race start! Thankfully, great fans like you helped us out during the final hour to provide this vital supply for our amazing dogs.
