I first ran a dog team way back in 1989 on a winter camping trip. As with most everyone in this race, that simple trip sparked a life I could not have imagined. In 1995 I started my own touring business, White Wilderness Sled Dog Adventures. We specialize in hands-on trips where people can mush their own team of dogs.
In 2000 I participated in my first John Beargrease race, and that too was a fateful choice. I have been running and involved with the Beargrease ever since. I have run the Mid Distance twice and the Marathon many times; it might be 15, I am not sure.
I live in Isabella, Minnesota, with my wife Christine, and our children Morgan, 16, and Milo, 14. Both the kids are involved with the dogs and our tours
