Dogs are my passion. I’ve made a living training dogs. Mushing has been my main passion since 1987. We breed and show Belgian Sheepdogs several ran in my early race teams finishing several Race to the Sky’s. Zar was in my team for the 1998 Beargrease Marathon. As far as I know the only one to do so. At one time I had run all the Distance Races in the lower 48 . Some of those races are no longer and some of the new ones I haven’t run, but had been involved with teams that have. My other dog passion is Dock Diving Dogs. I’ve been involved for the last 12 years competing, Judging and coaching. With one 3 time National Champion and multiple top ten placing dogs.
This may be my last long distance race if I can make it to the start. Pray for Snow!!

What a sled dog looks forward to most after a long day of racing is a nice bed of straw! But guess what happened at last year’s race? Someone stole all our straw right before the race start! Thankfully, great fans like you helped us out during the final hour to provide this vital supply for our amazing dogs.
