Hello, I will be competing in my first Beargrease race with my team from Lakeview Kennels. My love of dogs began in childhood when my father bred and raised puppies with our family purebred (AKC registered) German Shepard Coaco. My passion continued throughout my life caring for many pets including cats, dogs, bunnies, and a homing pigeon. I got my first Siberian Husky Mystic when I was in my 30’s. Then during covid shutdown I decided it was time to get another Siberian Husky and came home with two…Salem and Sabrina. When they were about 2 years old I decided to find someone to go through what it takes to be a musher. Her name was Renee from River Haven. Currently I met the love of my life Eric Nyren who has done many races and Ive been working with him and all his sled dogs. I am so excited to step into the world of sled dog racing. Lakeview Kennels is built on a deep appreciation for the working partnership between people and dogs. I am excited to bring my team to the historic Beargrease trail and to test their training, spirit, and teamwork in the 40-mile race. When I’m not with my dogs, I love spending time with my daughter who will turn 30 in December. I love spending time outdoors, especially around the may lakes near I am also a licensed Acupuncturist.
